In 2013, Benchmark Group Media will celebrate its 19th year of publishing Harrisburg Magazine. Since it's humble beginnings nearly twenty years ago as the Harrisburg City News, Harrisburg Magazine has grown into South Central Pennsylvania's premier monthly city/regional publication. We take pride in bringing the best of our region to those who live in our region. This was particularly evident when back in 2007 we decided to change the title of our flagship publication, Harrisburg Magazine, to 717; It's Where We Live 4 months per year - March, June, September, and December. To coincide with the name change, we boosted circulation and distribution throughout York, Lancaster, Harrisburg and everywhere in between, as well as the inclusion of expanded editorial coverage of those very same areas to fully realize our potential and responsibility as a true Regional Publication!
With an eye to the community, you will often see familiar faces within our compelling editorial features and regular departments, Over the past 12 years, our SIMPLY THE BEST Readers Poll and Gala have become staples within the community and a much anticipated event each year. In addition to the wonderful opportunities and experience SIMPLY THE BEST provides the community, we are most proud of the fact that each year we have been able to donate several thousands of dollars to charities such as the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Central PA Food Bank, YWCA, Pinnacle Health Systems, Cerebral Palsy and more through sponsorships, silent auctions and advertising.
In addition to Harrisburg Magazine and 717; It's Where We Live, Benchmark Group Media proudly publishes other fine publications such as: Lehigh Valley Magazine, Premier Bride, AND Magazine, Pennsylvania Restaurant Matters, Community Review, Shalom Neighbor, Capital Watch, Urban Connection, and many custom publications and periodicals.
